Cormorant Birds of Ireland Card by Róisín Mallon Art
From Róisín Mallon Art comes a new series of cards ‘Birds of Ireland’ in a collaboration with Irish writer Brian Devine. Featuring Róisín’s artwork on the front and Brian’s related poem on the back.
Brian Devine – Cormorant: “In Irish legends Badb becomes the hooded-crow who alighted on Cú Chulain’s shoulder; that is, one of the shape-changing Morrigans (Badb, Macha, Nemain). Other forms said to be taken are the eel and wolf but, I argue, why not the cormorant? The river-horse mentioned is a monster of both Irish and Scottish-Gaelic legend.”
Printed on premium uncoated 350gsm card. Blank on the inside for your own message. Made in Northern Ireland.
Dimensions: 14 x 14cm. Free postage within the UK.
