The Belfast landscape cannot be described without mentioning the iconic Harland and Wolff cranes. Locally known as, and named after, the Biblical figures Samson and Goliath, these two giant structures symbolise Belfast's ship building history, where the Titanic was designed and built.
This is a contemporary illustration of the cranes at Queen's Island, Belfast, which dominate the Belfast skyline making them spectacular landmark structures of the city.
